Bay Search and Rescue Charity Shops

A great and ever changing selection of products is always available in our dedicated Charity Shops on Kents Bank Road in Grange over Sands and Beetham Road in Milnthorpe. Our first shop was opened in May 2013 by Cedric Robinson MBE the Queens Guide to the Sands. We have clothes, toys, books, DVDs, electrical goods, paintings, shoes and coats, plus you can find out more about Bay Search and Rescue. Our more extensive Milnthorpe shop also has a selection of larger items such as electrical goods, furniture and curtains plus a large secondhand bookshop (and a carpark!)

Could you help in one of our Shops?
We are always looking for people to join our friendly team of volunteers to help in either of our two Shops. If you could spare just 3 hours each week: either from 10am to 1pm or from 1pm to 4pm on any day this would be appreciated. This could be to serve in the shops, sort in the stockrooms, or drive / help with van deliveries and collections from Milnthorpe, or even just do odd jobs, maintenance and even a bit of gardening at Milnthorpe. A little bit of time and your enthusiasm can help raise money for this vital service within our local community. So – what are you waiting for? You can support us by donating and allowing us to recycling any good quality items you no longer need; clothes, toys, games, jigsaws, working electrical goods, DVDs, CDs, shoes, books, video games, games consoles, curtains, furniture (Milnthorpe Shop), paintings, tools, linen and bedding, ornaments etc. or of course by visiting our shops and picking up a bargain!

Grange-over-sands shop

At the Grange Shop we are more than happy to accept donations of 1 or 2 boxes or bags but would kindly ask that you please ring ahead 015395 83312 if you have more than this, so that we can arrange a suitable time for delivery as due to limited storage facilities (it’s a small shop) and volunteer staff we can struggle to cope with large donations during shop hours.

Milnthorpe Charity Shop

Our Milnthorpe Shop is much larger, and has two car parks, so we can accept any amount or size of donated goods, plus furniture and larger working electrical goods (which we test before reselling). We can also collect large furniture items if required, please contact Abbie at the Milnthorpe Shop on 015395 64254 if you have furniture you want collecting.
